30 Different types of Photography

Photography come in a variety of types, each with its own unique approach to capturing moments through a camera lens. While they differ in shooting techniques, subject matter, and final outcomes, they all share a common goal: preserving a moment in time.

Before diving into different types of photography, it’s helpful to understand the concept of “type/genre,” which refers to a classification within the art world, characterized by distinct features and creative conditions.

Niépce’s image could be categorized within landscape and street photography, two prominent genres that capture scenes of nature and everyday life.
